Project Wickerman, as police in Canada dubbed the operation, began last May when Detective Randy Wickins of Edmonton's Internet child exploitation unit, acting on a report from a woman who overheard two children taking about sexual abuse, charged an Edmonton man with having sexual relations with his stepchildren and distributing their pictures on the Web. "So is the fact that many of these arrested parties had ongoing access to children." The charges include possession, receipt, distribution and manufacturing of photos and live-streaming video of adults sexually abusing children and infants.
